Cyrille Aimée is an internationally renowned vocalist, songwriter, and educator celebrated for her bold improvisation and magnetic presence. Born in Samois-sur-Seine, France, near the Django Reinhardt Festival, she grew up immersed in the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of her Dominican mother and the vibrant gypsy jazz traditions of her hometown.

Cyrille’s formal training began at the prestigious American School of Modern Music in Paris, where she built the foundation of her musical artistry. She later pursued studies at SUNY Purchase in New York, performing nightly in the city’s vibrant jazz clubs. Her daring improvisational style and unique stage presence earned her collaborations with jazz greats such as Roy Hargrove and Wynton Marsalis, a victory at the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, and performances at the iconic Apollo Theater in Harlem.

Her critically acclaimed albums with Mack Avenue Records, including “Move On”, featuring Stephen Sondheim’s compositions, earned a Grammy nomination. Cyrille’s latest album, “À Fleur de Peau” (Whirlwind Recordings), co-produced with Jake Sherman, showcases her unique blend of jazz, pop, and Caribbean rhythms, reflecting her rich musical journey.
