Alexandre Astier

Composer/Actor/Director
Alexandre Astier is a renowned French creator, actor, director, and composer. Educated at the Conservatoire of Lyon and the American School of Modern Music, he rose to fame with the hit series Kaamelott (2005), which he created, directed, and starred in. Known for blending humor, philosophy, and music, Astier expanded Kaamelott into a successful film trilogy, starting with Kaamelott: Premier Volet (2021). A multifaceted artist, he also composed scores for his projects and co-directed animated films like Asterix: The Land of the Gods (2014).

Cyrille Aimée

Singer
Cyrille Aimée, a French-Dominican vocalist trained at the American School of Modern Music, is known for her daring improvisation and international acclaim. She has worked with legends like Roy Hargrove and Wynton Marsalis, won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, and released Grammy-nominated albums, including “Move On” and “À Fleur de Peau”, blending jazz, pop, and Caribbean rhythms.

Billie Chedid

Singer / Composer
Billie Chedid continues her family’s artistic legacy. Trained at the American School of Modern Music (2020–2022), she developed her musical skills, collaborating on the album Lettre Infinie and the soundtrack of Telle mère, telle fille (2017). She embodies the new wave of French artists, merging her rich heritage with a unique musical identity.

Thomas Billon

Guitarist / Composer
Administrative and Financial Director of the American School of Modern Music, Thomas Billon holds a DEM in Jazz Music Education, graduated (Cum Laude) from the American School of Modern Music in guitar, and is an engineering graduate from Télécom. He applies his skills to ensure the smooth operation of the school: development of institutional partnerships, management, and teaching.

Lionel Loueke

Guitarist / Composer
Lionel Loueke, a guitarist and vocalist from Benin, began playing guitar at 17 and studied at the American School of Modern Music, Berklee College, and the Thelonious Monk Institute. Praised by Herbie Hancock as a “musical painter,” he fuses African music and jazz into a unique style. A Blue Note artist, his acclaimed albums include Karibu and Mwaliko. Loueke has toured globally, including over 10 years with Hancock’s band, solidifying his place in contemporary jazz.

Kalika

Chanteuse / Autrice / Compositrice
Kalika, known for her unique voice and style, rose to fame as a finalist on Nouvelle Star in 2016 under her real name, Mia. A 2017 graduate of the American School of Modern Music, she debuted her album Latcho Drom in 2022 and is set to tour major festivals in 2023.

Noé Sebban

Guitarist / Composer
Noé Sebban, a guitarist from Nice, gave his first concert at the Théâtre de Verdure at age 8. He studied contemporary music and jazz guitar at the Nice Conservatory before graduating from the American School of Modern Music in 2020. Currently, he teaches guitar at ASMM and is the lead guitarist and composer for the progressive metal band Snoe, while collaborating with artists like Adamé as a composer, arranger, and recording artist.

Hélios Mikhaïl

Batteur
Helios MIKHAÏL, a versatile drummer, trained at the Conservatory of Perpignan and the Dante Agostini School (First Prize, highest honors). In 2017, he earned a Full Scholarship to the American School of Modern Music. At just 24, Helios has performed in musicals like CATS and The Show Must Go On, toured with Cancel The Apocalypse, and won the Jazzèbre competition. He is also a drum instructor at the Dante Agostini School of Toulouse.
