Sylvain Luc, born in 1965 in Bayonne, France, is a world-renowned guitarist, celebrated for his versatility and virtuosity across jazz, classical, and world music genres. Starting on the guitar at a young age, Sylvain quickly developed an exceptional musicality and unique improvisational style. He later studied at the Conservatoire de Bayonne, where he expanded his knowledge of music theory and harmony.

Sylvain’s career has been marked by collaborations with legendary artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Biréli Lagrène, Richard Galliano, Michel Legrand, and Didier Lockwood. His duos with bassist Jean-Paul Celea and accordionist Richard Galliano are particularly acclaimed, as is his work with the trio Troc alongside André Ceccarelli and Jannick Top.

Sylvain Luc’s albums, including “Duet”, “Standards”, and “Jazz & Cinema”, have established him as a modern jazz innovator. Renowned for his ability to blend classical precision, jazz spontaneity, and influences from Basque and Mediterranean traditions, he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary guitar playing.
