Kurt Rosenwinkel is an American jazz guitarist, composer, and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of his generation. Born on October 28, 1970, in Philadelphia, he studied at the Berklee College of Music, where he developed his distinctive style blending harmonic sophistication, melodic fluidity, and innovative improvisation.

Rosenwinkel has released numerous acclaimed albums, including The Enemies of Energy (2000), The Next Step (2001), and Star of Jupiter (2012). He has collaborated with prominent artists such as Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Brian Blade, and Joe Henderson. Known for his unique approach to harmony and sound design, Rosenwinkel’s work has profoundly influenced modern jazz guitar.

As the founder of Heartcore Records, he promotes innovative artists and continues to inspire new generations of musicians through teaching and masterclasses worldwide. His contributions have solidified his legacy as a leading figure in contemporary jazz.
